You guys have been incredible over the years with your comments.  That includes your tone.  Of all the blogs I know of online that discuss the delicate issue of church music, you guys set the bar for politeness.  In fact, I have never felt the need to moderate anyone.

Unfortunately, the morons of the world who spam blogs with comments containing nefarious links and other stuff have found this blog and even though I have spam protection, they are getting through a lot of comments every day.  (I never have really learned how their automated processes read the "Verify Code" but they do.)

So today, I had to waste an hour writing some code for this blog so that I could easily screen out the junk. And from now on, all comments have to be moderated.  When you post a comment, it will not show up right away.  However, it will not normally take me long to get it approved.

This will protect everyone from virus threats (and worse) and will keep those of you that subscribe to threads from getting worthless emails.

Sorry for the bother.

Will you do me a personal favor?
