Use coupon code PACKAGE10.On Monday, February 9th, I am recording my new CD in Nashville. Many people are fascinated by the process of recording, and watching this orchestra at work is worth seeing. So I am very excited to announce that we are doing something that is very cool. We are going to do a webcast of the entire day for anyone that wants to watch.
You will be able to view the webcast by going to www.greghowlett.com/nashville.aspx. You will have to have Flash installed on your computer, but otherwise, it should work fine.
A webcast works sort of like TV. There will not be any ability to pause, rewind or fast forward. You will be watching what is happening live. The video quality will be quite good and we are going to use at least two cameras—one in the control room and one in the room with the musicians.
I have posted our schedule for the day below. We will be going from early in the morning to close to midnight. The most interesting part of the day will probably be the full orchestra session during the afternoon where I will be playing big, majestic stuff. However, the morning session will also be good. I will be playing faster, rhythmic songs during that time. The later afternoon session is going to be very slow and laid back. If you are interested in vocals, that will be later in the evening.
There is no need to let me know if you plan to watch and there is no limit on how many can watch. However, if you do watch, jot me a note and give me some feedback. I would like to know if this is something that I should plan on doing again in the future.
If you are in the Nashville area, and you want to watch for a while in the studio (The Tracking Room on Music Row), let me know ahead of time. I can possibly make that happen.
Schedule (All times Central Standard Time)
9:00 am - 12:00 pm: Strings and woodwinds
1:00 am - 4:00 pm: Full orchestra
5:00 pm - 7:30 pm: Single instruments
8:00 pm - 10:30 pm: Choir
Will you do me a personal favor?
