I am saddened to see the vitrole against Edward Kennedy on the day he is being buried.  Some of the comments on Facebook are disturbing.

I am no fan of Kennedys in general or Edward Kennedy in particular.  I do not agree with much of what he stood for.  I know he had problems and failures.

But there is something larger than a Kennedy at stake here.  If you walk through Arlington Cemetery, you just feel it.  I felt it recently there when I sought out the graves of his two brothers. Like those brothers, Kennedy was part of history and part of our country.  There is something about that that just makes me want to say to give him a break.  At least on the day he is buried.

Will you do me a personal favor?
