I was at two churches near Pittsburg, PA over the weekend.  It was very hectic and there was not a lot of sleep but I still came away with a lot of thankfulness for the experience.  I am incredibly blessed to do what I do.

On Saturday and Sunday morning, Daybreak and I were at a church celebrating their 50th anniversary.   As I listened to spearkers discuss the church's history and watched a DVD showing pictures from past decades, I was moved.

It is a wonderful thing that average people can work to establish a church that will last for 50 years without changing its core beliefs.  I especially appreciated that the leadership acknowledged the problems of the past as well as the successes.  Such transparency may be somewhat rare but I think it is necessary for unity.

Last night, we were in another great service in a thriving church.  It was the kind of church that lifts you up as soon as you walk in, and it was a thrill to be there.

I do not say enough how thankful I am that churches and pastors give me the opportunity to participate in their services.  I certainly get more from those experiences than do the people in the pews listening.

It is also wonderful to see many of you at concerts.  I am always humbled when you come up and tell me you have my CDs or are working through the lessons on this site.  Thank you for doing that.
