Take a moment and read this article: http://sports.yahoo.com/golf/pga/news;_ylt=AnvAwLgs9QZDRhPWjoaJfPU5nYcB?slug=dw-perry041209&prov=yhoo&type=lgns

There is a lot from that article that hits me.  For example, there is fact that Perry gave up his chance to perfect his game in order to be a good father and have a balanced life.  What a difficult choice that is for many of us.

And then there is this from near the end: He (Perry) didn’t want to relive it. This was the realization of his worst professional frailty. He wasn’t great. He was just good.

I am afraid that is something I hate to face too.  I am not a great pianist and never will be; I am just good.  Sobering but true.  How I deal with that fact is important.  I hope I deal with it as well as Kenny Perry has.

I am going to get back to the 7ths lesson in a day or so.  Sorry for the rabbit trail.
